In 2023, @dan wrote a super helpful how-to article for a custom template that redirects to your most recent post. (My impression is that Dan has moved on work-wise, so I thought I’d post the correction here.)
Since then, it seems that Ghost has change how it specifies the order of posts. To update the code that Dan supplies in his tutorial, change date_published to published_at.
