hi there. how can i customized ghost admin design? for example, add my logo to admin or use custom color. AND how can i extend ghost admin functionality? for example i want to have a product page where admin can add or delete product. the product database all will be stored in snipcart. the extended admin function just to add and delete product easily. ---

Hello @eddie Ghost CMS does not provide any functionality to customize the Admin side/panel. As Ghost is more focused on Writing experience, Admin is kept in that way and not to become another Wordpress in the market. I think you are looking for Worpress in Ghost, to be honest. - Pankaj ---

Without change core project you can provide this feature. Tagging this contenc with a tag like “product”, and then build a custom template in theme by this tag. The product image can be the mais image of post. ---

no. i’m not looking into for wordpress in ghost. i just want to extend a bit of it function so that at least i can sell something. it’s not too much in my opinion. @pankaj ---

but the thing is, the custom template can only be change via code. ---

@eddie have you tried KeystoneJS ([https://keystonejs.com/](https://keystonejs.com/))? Keystone is also a Node CMS but with the ability to customize the admin. ---

It s the common place in CMS, wp themes need be coded too. I’m wp some themes can add custom panels in admin area, but it need be coded in theme itself. ---

and how about changing admin interface to match brand color and logo. 🤔 and remove other ghost stuff, for example, “how to use ghost” also can we add user with different permission. for example, the new user can’t change anything in lab ---

its not soo dificult change admin , is a ember.js app. But you need study a little about ([https://emberjs.com/](https://emberjs.com/) ) and then find where are the points you need. ;) ---

This post wasn’t asking for ghost to stop being ghost (a touchy subject around here) and it’s rarely a useful response to accuse someone of that. Unless there’s an actual article from the Ghost team explaining that a feature _will not_ be developed, i.e. comments, chill out on saying that people are asking for Ghost to not be Ghost. Maybe, just maybe this would make ghost better for their use-case and story. Not a crime to ask about it. @eddie you shouldn’t have to defend asking for something. If you’d like to, check and see if this is already a feature request. If not, it can’t hurt to try. ---

same answer for "what is the purpose of adding logo to gmail. with gsuite, you can add your own logo there replacing gmail logo. idk if u get the picture @thimiraonline ---

@eddie There is no straightforward way to achieve this. You can make some custom hacks for your admin panel on the Fork of Ghost or Ghost Admin but it is not recommended. If you need some help in making a custom fork of the Ghost Admin, let me know; I can provide some pointers. There is no direct way to make it. @_helloitse I am not accusing. I am quoting OP in different words. Thanks for being a positive voice of reason and practicality. No, ghost is not meant to be as extensive as wordpress out of the box. Yes, it is focused on the writing experience, but to say it is “clearly Ghost was not made for this level of customization” is quite wrong. Ghost is a much smaller organization than WordPress and they jealously guard their time on the features they deem most important. For example, if someone were to modify admin to be skinnable, it would very likely be included in core. Anyways, customizing admin is as simple as forking and writing/building EmberJS code.
