Hi all, we have a bunch of data and several Ploty charts that are created by Python scripts on a separate web server. We would like to embed these charts on pages in our self-hosted Ghost instance. We’re able to embed them now using the embedded HTML functionality in the page editor but the charts don’t update dynamically when we add new data.
Any ideas on how to solve this? Happy to provide more info if needed.

The snippet you shared is actually not embedding a “remote” chart from your server, but simply embeds a Plotly script AND all the fixed data points.
Have a look at this:

This line is basically setting all the data points in your chart. By just embedding it as it is, I get this:
But, I can simply go ahead and change the x-axis from [0,1,2,3,4] to [0,10,20,30,40], for example, and – tada – the dimensions are different:
So, the fact that the chart doesn’t update when you change data on your web server, is expected, given that the data isn’t connected. I don’t know Plotly.js, but given this behaviour, you would need to generate the snippet fresh every time you change something.
