I completely agree with @Hottinho . Even simple embeds require cookie consent from GDPR point of view. I think this is such a big deal and should require more attention from devs. I am afraid I also need to change to another solution due to this even though I have paid one full year of Ghost Pro Creator tier.
Has there been any additional information on this? I’m examining Ghost as a potential CMS for my personal website.
I would appreciate any steps that others have taken to ensure GDPR compliance, especially when using the core features of Ghost, such as newsletter sign up, newsletter sending (MailGun), paid tiers (Stripe), embedded third-party services (YouTube, etc.).
Perhaps have a look at this:
How to add a Privacy Controls and Cookie Solution to Ghost
There is a lot of helpful information elsewhere on the Iubenda website, some of which may allay your concerns.
(Disclaimer: I do not represent Iubenda).
Thanks, I’ll take a look at that!
I have installed cookieeyes also, but some checks with external tools/websites, tells me that some cookies are loaded before the user can choose which cookies he will accept. Not optimal.
