How to set up a launch 'x% off forever' promotion

Hello! If I were to set up a 10% or 15% off forever promotion on a new site launch, what’s the best way to go around that? Do subscriptions renew at the price a member signed up for, meaning all I have to do is decrease the price by the % at launch, then increase it again when the promotion is over, or is it not that simple?

I’ve noticed there’s the ‘Offers’ section which has something similar, but that’s only enabled through a coupon code and only works on a per tier basis, and I’d like something with less friction on the user’s end. Thank you in advance!

Subscriptions renew at the price they’re subscribed at. So… you could just start with a lower price and later change it. However, that misses an opportunity to show that they’re getting a discount. (Well, I guess you could put it in the tier description or benefits…)

Using an offer makes it clearer to the user they’re getting a discount (which can be a forever discount), but yeah, if you want everyone subscribing right now to have the discounted price, it’s fine to just lower the price.
