I can't redirect www version to non-www

hello there,

I’m a electrician with very low technical skill. I have created my first ghost website Home Solar Guider 2 months before with dianahost. Everything was fine, but recently I recently a SEO guy send me a free site audit report, where I found that both www-version and non-www version of my website is loading on the browser.

But, I want to redirect www-version to the non-www version.

I checked previous threads on this topic, but don’t understand how to done from my hosting setting.

I’ve attached hosting screenshot for reference.

This is completely related how your hosting provider works. Don’t you have a support system in their panel? I think they should able to help you for this.

I contacted them, but no positive feedback yet. That’s why i’m searching alternative way.

Then you can use Cloudflare and create a redirect rule there. Since your hosting provider looks like not providing a CDN, Cloudflare would help in many ways in addition to this redirection.

It is easy to do on the server management/administration. You should ask them for it.

To be honest, the best you could do is hire a VPS service and host Ghost yourself.

If you can’t do it alone, you can also hire a reliable administrator to do it for you and explain the basics you need to know so you can maintain it later.

With no special requirements, it’s the best way to really host on the internet. There are affordable providers like Hetzner or OVH Cloud (starts on $4/5 by month).

You can point me here if you start this process and need some help. I am not an expert but self host almost all my services.

I need to respectfully disagree with you here. The OP introduced themself like this:

Telling a non-technical user that they should just self host is doing them no favors. Hiring a ‘reliable administrator’ will not be cheaper than choosing a reputable managed host. (Ghost.org, Magic Pages, or Synaps Media are all popular choices on the forum.)

Any apparent savings from self-hosting will be consumed by the first time Hamza needs to hire help for a problem. Self hosting requires enough technical skill to make and verify backups, to run ‘ghost update’ every week, and to apply security patches to every part of the operating system.

@Hamza_Rizvi , I don’t know whose control panel that is, but it doesn’t sound like you’ve got managed hosting, if they aren’t replying to your question. You may want to move to somewhere with better service.

Based on the IP it’s this one.

It sounds like managed hosting, but it’s also the first time I have come across it. And I usually know the market.

I also suggested to hire a server administrator for the initial steps. Self-hosting should be the first thing one learns on Internet before to cloud, web hosting or anything else.

I accept that I forgot about Magicpages (ping @jannis), it is the easy and reliable path if the OP do not want to learn :slight_smile:
