Mangled smart quotes in existing entries

Hi there,

I discovered today that all of my blog entries’ smart (curly) quotes have become mangled, rendering as ’, as though the page were delivered in latin1 encoding. I was able to reproduce this on all browsers. I am not sure why this is, given that the meta tag is set to UTF-8, and that I had not modified any of my Ghost settings in a very long time.

You can find an example of such mangling here.

Upgrading to the latest version of Ghost did not help: in fact, given that it broke my syntax highlighting, it made things worse. I’m currently reformatting all my blog posts to exclude smart quotes for the time being, at the cost of readability.

Any help on this issue would be appreciated.

Hi there! This sounds like an issue we’re investigating - I don’t recommend changing the data whilst we investigate. If you’re ever having any issue with a Ghost(Pro) site, please drop us an email on support@ghost.org and we’ll be more than happy to give you a hand directly
