# Multiple UI glitches

Over the past week or so, I have experienced multiple new (to me at least) glitches in the editor, using Chrome on a Macbook. When pasting content, the paste doesn’t occur where the cursor is, but at a different spot – possibly where the cursor used to be. This persists after saving, exiting the editor and re-entering.

Also, when adding a link, the hover menu doesn’t show up when the text is highlighted. Trying this multiple times sometimes produces the menu but the behavior is inconsistent. Also, sometimes when adding a link, the link code seems to remain open, so that any further content after that also gets linked, and the link can’t be removed.

These were the unfortunate result of an upgrade to the underlying editor framework in 5.87.1 that was reverted/fixed in 5.87.2 a few days later once the bugs became apparent. If you’re still experiencing problems please make sure you’re on the latest version

Still having some of the same problems, despite being on 5.87.2 – also, when pasting text, it doesn’t add a space, so it merges with whatever comes after and turns headlines into regular text

Are you self-hosting or on Ghost(Pro)? It sounds like you have a cached version of the editor being loaded somehow 😕
