Is there a way to give and display member badges at all? Eg ‘Most Active’ ‘Newb’

You could use member labels to indicate that a member has a badge to them when they visit the site, i.e. if you have a custom account page, or a “Welcome {name}!” banner. The only place members can see other members is in the comments section (if you’re using it). The comments app is a separate app, so changing its behavior would require forking it and building a custom version.
