I created a droplet for “one-click” Ghost blog. I’m using the IP for the droplet and created a subdomain associated with it. The installation completed fine. I can SSH into the droplet. I can load the droplet through the dashboard launcher. Ping returns the following results:
4 packets transmitted, 4 received, 0% packet loss, time 3002ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 187.904/188.012/188.255/0.549 ms
BUT, when I load the IP directly, the page won’t load with the following error:
Unable to connect
Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at xxx.xx.x.x.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox Developer Edition is permitted to access the Web.
When I enter the subdomain, it immediately routes to the droplet IP and I get the above error.
I’ve used both Firefox and Chrome to try to access the site/droplet.
I have an A record on the server where the subdomain is registered that points to the droplet. I also set up a redirect from the subdomain to the droplet.
