Check ghost version from Dashboard Ghost 4

How I can check the ghost versions in Dashboard for Ghost 4?
I know that in the past there was a page: /ghost/#/about/
Which is not available right now.

I’ve updated ghost to the latest version but I still can see warning message Ghost 3 plus:

<meta name="generator" content="Ghost 3.42">

The same is for another blog migrated from 2 to 4.
I see message for Ghost 2 update.

Ghost-CLI version: 1.17.3
Ghost version: 4.17.0 (at /var/www/

This is no longer current - ‘what’s new’ doesn’t display version information for me. Is there another way to view this information on the backend?

You can go to SettingsAbout Ghost (in the top right corner). That will show you your Ghost version.

Here’s a quick screenshot of the admin ‘settings’ panel, just in case I’m missing something - whereabouts is ‘about Ghost’?

It was changed in a recent release — and I’d ask you to check your version, but that’s the question :smile:

You should find it by clicking on your profile icon → What’s new

LOL :smiley: it’s a bit of a catch-22!

Wouldn’t you know, yesterday the ‘What’s new’ page didn’t display version information for me…and today it does. Win! Thanks for your help :slight_smile:

Morgan, Have you figured this out? I cannot find it anywhere. All the suggestions don’t work anymore.

Currently, it’s in ‘Settings’ (cog icon at the bottom of the left-hand menu). Then, in the top-right of the settings page, there’s a button that says ‘About Ghost’.
