Formatting inline code on site and in newsletter?

I’m trying to use the inline code formatting as a way to highlight text on my site, except using the Markdown editor to do so is picking up my accent color, which in turn is making my inline code look like linked text. Does anyone know a way around this?

Sounds like a CSS tweak might fix it—overriding the accent color for inline code should do the trick.
