I am a newbie in ghost. I am currently using Edition Theme. I don’t want the subscription forum. So, I have already changed subscription access to nobody. But I don’t want the dialogue box in my homepage.
Can it be done in the current theme? if so, how?
Or, do I have to create my own theme?
(This is the dialogue box that I don’t want. )

This form is built into the theme files, so you’d need to customize the theme to remove it, or select a different theme that suits your needs.
You can hide it with CSS styles using the code injection settings.
Would you know the name of a Theme that does NOT have a Subscribe button or page? That would be very helpful.

Many themes these days do include subscribe functionality, but some may omit this or some of them rely entirely on Portal (which you can switch off).
