i’m delighted that two of my ghost blogs are on the fediverse. however, it seems that tagging people doesn’t work (the person tagged does not see the post in their mentions), and hashtags also seem to be invisible. for example, i follow the tag #haiqu (which is quite unique/distinctive) and see content from other fediverse users who include that tag in their posts, but i do not ever see my own.
these limitations almost negate the benefit of federation. without my posts being discovered through tagging or hashtags, how will anyone ever find me?
