Problems with video cards?

Hi folks

I’m wondering if people often use the video cards, and whether they are slow-loading?

I’ve tried using them for the first time to host two short clips. From my end, only the first couple of seconds will play – after that it’s stuck on buffering. It could be my connection, but I don’t seem to be having general internet speed problems.

I’m on a Ghost(Pro) plan.

Here’s the post: The Week in the West: Y2K revival

Are the video cards reliable, or do people tend to use other options?

Your video cards are working fine for me (no buffering observed).

Unlike images (which Ghost will resize and even serve in a different format if your theme directs it to), I don’t think there’s any built in resizing for video.

If that’s correct, that’s an advantage of using an external service - YouTube et al. will serve lower resolution video on slower connections (and phone screens), which means things load faster and don’t buffer.

Thank you @Cathy_Sarisky - that is good to know!

And good to know about the resizing too.

I feel like native video might be good for very short snippet like these, but anything longer I’d probably be thinking YouTube or Vimeo
