I updated my dynamic routing to add dates to my permalinks and then tried updating my redirects file to make sure old links didn’t die. I followed the instructions given in the documentation, but my URLs are now redirecting to the date repeating.
The posts work fine on the site, the dynamic routing is great, but the redirects just freak our like this (and don’t work). Anyone have any idea what I did wrong?
Post the redirects file. But I’m guessing you’re going to need a ^ to make sure you’re only matching the start of the post, or a match that excludes things that are already in a date format.

Try:
^/why-opening-day-matters/: (redirect destination here, no parens)
or possibly
^\/why-opening-day-matters\/: (ditto)
The ^ matches the start of the path, so that it doesn’t match after the first redirect. / or \/ is a question of whether escaping is needed, and I’m not sure about this example.
Adding ^ before the initial / seems to have done the trick. Thank you!
