The static page creation needs to be a one-step creation. Currently, a link has to be created separately from the creation of the static page.

  1. How are you defining “static page” in the context of your site?
  2. Where are you trying to link to these static pages from?
  3. Where would you expect a link to be created automatically?

I think what you want might be solved via:
