Will UTM's (if built properly) automatically populate the source field?

I’ve got a google sheet I leverage to build my UTMs to track the source where new members come from; however, is this the best way to have source data populate to ghost?

I think that should work, Ghost’s member attribution code is here:

It looks like UTM-wise, Ghost only looks at source/medium
