Hi, I think it would be useful to add LinkedIn, in the Staff Profile page (which is then reflected in the Author page), for many reasons:
When it comes to trust, readers tend to believe more in opinions and content written by experts and LinkedIn is unmatched for knowing if someone is an expert on a subject.
In addition, Google has long since taken up the fight against misinformation on the internet and rewards websites where the Authors can be perceived as: human beings and subject matter experts. Adding a LinkedIn profile gives both signals to Google.
