Additional metadata on posts?

First of all, I <3 Ghost 2.0. Amazing work to all!

I was curious if there’s any way to add additional bits of data to the post object? Like lets say I want to add a Location field to my blog posts and I DONT want to use tags. Is that something that is currently possible, or planned?
