Admin blank, assets folder missing?

I’m suddenly unable to access my admin (blank page), and my log is showing 404 errors for all files in /ghost/assets/. I’ve also checked my server and confirmed that folder no longer exists.

Just before this happened, I’d used ghost doctor to fix a permissions error inside my custom theme, and the admin had been working normally up to that point.

What should I do to troubleshoot this further?

Update: I ran ghost update in hopes that it would rebuild what was missing, and that seems to have worked. I’m still not sure what caused it in the first place, but at least it was a simple fix.
