I’ve been using Ghost 0.11 for my blog since 2015, and it’s been incredibly stable for over 10 years without any issues.
What I really miss is how lightweight and fast Ghost used to be—it let me focus purely on writing.
Once deployed, there was almost nothing to worry about.
I understand that running such an old version comes with potential security risks, especially with the outdated Linux system.
But honestly, I’ve never faced any problems. I’m still using SQLite, and backups have always been simple—just export the JSON and save the content images.
I truly miss when Ghost was this simple and minimal. Don’t get me wrong—the current Ghost CMS is still excellent. It’s just that the platform seems to be moving more toward new features and a different business direction now.
Thanks to Ghost CMS and the community for creating such an excellent CMS and let me record my life of Journey.
