Can you have new paid memberships set to not automatically renew?

I’d rather someone have to opt in to auto-payments and have the default be just signing up for X amount of time for Y dollars, then having the account expire back to free at the end of that.

I can manually cancel the subscriptions in the stripe UI for users already subscribed, but I can’t figure out if there is a way to set no auto-renewal as a default with the Ghost integration.

This is causing legal issues for me (a one-off payment request less wrangling than a subscription), so I’d really like to see a way to do this too.
