Cancellation dates in dashboard vs Stripe

Hello!

I’ve been noticing something strange with cancellations and thought I’d run it by the group.

I’m noticing that cancelled memberships are showing a 2023 cancellation date. No, these aren’t cases of an annual member cancelling the auto-renew but having access through 2023, these are cases of memberships where the renewal failed and they are absolutely and completely cancelled.

In Stripe, the dates / years are current. But on the Dashboard, it’s saying a year from now. Any idea what’s up and how to interpret this data?

My first thought is to try checking your settings for managing failed payments from the Billing page on your Stripe dashboard.

Beyond that I’d recommend giving Stripe support a shout on this, to see if they have any insights here, since I think this is related to how Stripe is handling subscriptions that have failed to renew.
