To enhance the visual consistency and usability of cards, we’re making changes to the default styles of certain cards.
What’s changing
We’re updating the default styles for the following cards:
- Bookmark Card
- File Card
- Audio Card
- Product Card
These cards will now have a white background and a sans-serif font by default. Previously, the background was transparent, and fonts were inherited from themes.
What does this mean for you?
The change aims to make these cards look good on any background color and to provide a consistent, “embedded” look across all themes. This update is especially important for themes supporting dark mode, as the default white background might not blend seamlessly.
What you can do
If you want to maintain your theme’s unique look and feel, you can still override the default background color and fonts in your themes. This allows you to adapt the new changes to fit within your theme’s design.
When is this change rolling out?
These updates will be part of the release that goes out this Friday, 23 August 2024.
