Did anyone else receive an email from Ghost last night regarding custom sending domain settings? Nothing changed in my DNS settings, and when I check them in Ghost , domain settings, the red exclamation point appears on different entries each time I reload the page in settings. Nothing appears wrong or changed in my DNS settings.
Wondering if this is a notification glitch, and Ghost Support is closed until Monday.
I suspect that everyone with a custom domain got one. I don’t know that for a fact, but four sites that have an email that forwards to me got one, and about a dozen clients I work with emailed me last night and this morning about that email. That’s probably not quite everyone I work with who has a custom sending domain, but it’s a significant fraction of them, and we’re talking about Friday night/Saturday morning when people necessarily aren’t fast to read email. So I’ll tell you what I’ve been saying in email/text/basecamp/slack since last night:
”I am pretty sure it’s a glitch on the Ghost Pro side. I wouldn’t make any DNS or site configuration changes in response.”
(I don’t work for Ghost Foundation. If you want a definitive answer, you should email their support. I’m just offering you an educated guess based on having access to a LOT of Ghost installs.)
