I’m want Ghost to automatically email all my subscribers when I create a new post. What is the best way to do this? I’ve had a look at this documentation: but I’m not sure what it does?

Ghost doesn’t really use mailing right now; the biggest use case for it is resetting user passwords.
What you’re looking for is available through Ghost’s integration with Zapier - Check out this help article for more info
