Error while login: There is no user with that email address

Hi,

I get the following error while attempting to sign-in.

There is no user with that email address.

I have tried the following:

  • Attempt a sign-in from a different browser.
  • update ghost version
  • update npm version
  • restart ghost

None of these worked. Was wondering if there is a way to fix this.

I think you’ll find that Ghost is telling you the truth. Did you receive an email titled “Your New Ghost Site”? If not, you probably misspelled the address during setup.

This only happened today all of sudden. I’ve been able to log in and add posts earlier (a few weeks/months back). I am also sure the username and password are the same.

  • I figured, what I had done was change the email id on my last successful login.
  • I wasn’t aware that it changes the login email too. I discovered this while playing with a local installation of ghost.
  • when I used the changed email, I was able to login.
