From Notion to Ghost (with real time Update)

Hello,

I spent years on Notion, with many text, lead magnet, post, note and everything.

I would like to simply quite my webflow website / blog for Ghost. But most of all I want to use Notion as editor and Database and juste publish eveything on Ghost.

I try with Zapier but it’s limited. You are not able to modify the text, (it will create a new post…)

Someone use a configuration like that and works very fine ?

It looks like you got support in Make to update posts in Ghost at least.

ps: do you know why we can’t select multiple post to delete them in one time ?

Nah.Haven’t worked with automation of Ghost yet, but will do in the not so distant future. Found out that n8n also supports updating a Ghost post. Maybe it will work in Zapier as well in a while.

Shouldn’t be too complex to setup me thinks?

  1. Add the entry in Notion which
  2. Triggers the creation of a new post in Ghost and
  3. Request the post ID back from Ghost to Notion and then
  4. Store the post ID as metadata in the Notion entry

And by that you got the entry in both Notion and Ghost, with the post ID set in Notion as well. Then whenever you choose to update the entry in Notion this kicks in:

  1. Check if the entry have a Ghost post ID and if it exists
  2. Updates the Ghost post else
  3. Creates a new post according to the above flow

Shouldn’t something like that work fine? :slight_smile:
