I’m trying to launch a paid blog (free content + paid content) with Ghost, but I’m worried about GDPR.

I need to have a GDPR check box under newsletter’s fields for being compliance with the law here in EU, but I don’t find a way to add it to this theme (Edition, a free one)
Is there possible to add that check in that newsletter form in Home AND in all Signup form around the site?

PS: Newsletter form doesn’t work either, I’m using personal emails for testing them and I’m not receiving that confirmation email. It only works if I add members manually. What am I doing wrong?
