Headline - Change the footer color using code injection?

Hi all,

I’d like to ask whether it’s possible to change the footer color in the Headline theme using a code injection, please. I am not a programmer whatsoever but I can’t afford to hire a website designer, so I’ve been using a premade theme. But while the header style lets me change to the accent color (currently #2ab9cc), there’s no similar option for the footer to match this.

I’m getting quite frustrated that I can’t change that, so any help would be greatly appreciated please. I ask for a code injection as that seems a lot easier than directly editing the theme files.

Thank you, I took a look, saw someone share code for a header color change elsewhere and tried this but had no success.

footer#gh-foot gh-outer { background-color: #2ab9cc; }

.gh-foot { background-color: #2ab9cc; } should work.

Slight correction here it’s .gh-footer { background-color: #2ab9cc; } I believe.
