I feel like I have unusually high churn from free newsletters (while the paid ones are growing nicely). However, member data only shows when someone subscribed but not when they unsubscribed. Is there a way to get the unsubscribe date for free members?

Can’t you see that by using the filter by your member list?
You can, I just had my first ever unsubscriber 
guess not everybody enjoyed my site moving from Substack to Ghost as much as I do 
But I learned a new thing from this.
Filter - Newsletter Subscription - Is not - Subscribed
If you then click on the user you can see when they unsubscribed. This individual opened my latest issue [where I started by telling about the new and better platform] and then unsubscribed.
Maybe there is a filter where you can actually see when they did without having to click on the member but this worked for me.
Yes this works, however, the data doesn’t seem to be tied to which issue of the newsletter prompted their “unsubscribe” which would be helpful data for retention.
