Migrating from Tinybird Cloud to self-hosted

Hey everyone!

In a way of a sort of response to Migrating from Tinybird free plan to self-hosted - #4 by KBExit do I write this topic.

I had the same feelings as some of you about using the Tinybird Cloud for self-hosted blogs and thought myself “Why shouldn’t it be possible to use a self-hosted Tinybird instance if that exists?”. That is how I came to experiment last weekend.

I – and please forgive me for the link to my own blog – wrote an blog post about my findings and what exactly I did here: Digital Sovereign Ghost: Self-Hosting Tinybird Analytics

So @jannis at Magic Pages has been very generous about his open approach and I was able to get Tinybird Local working for a blog. So well that I’ve took everything I’ve learned and applied it to my Flarum Hosting Stack :)
Magic Pages will forever remain as the GOAT in my books.

To be honest, I don’t even remember where I talked about it :joy:

If you want to take it one step further, @muratcorlu has essentially just built a wrapper around Clickhouse to keep data local (as far as I know). After all, Tinybird is just a managed wrapper around Clickhouse itself :upside_down_face:
