Not sure if this is a bug or āa featureā, as they say but if it is a bug, Iād like to bring it to the Ghost teamās attention to help them fix it.
Currently, it is possible to make gallery images hyperlinks so that when somebody clicks on these images they are taken to a URL, rather than the default behavior of gallery images which is to open a larger version of the image in a modal window.
To do this, at the moment, what you need to do is create an image card, add a hyperlink to it, then create a gallery and drag the image card into it. That image in the gallery then becomes a link, which is great, because thatās what we want
But the odd thing is that the link only opens with a middle-click. A left-click, which people would be accustomed to using to open links, still just opens a modal.
Iāve noticed that a few people have missed this and assumed that gallery image links werenāt working at all. I only thought to try a middle-click because I noticed a URL appearing in the status bar while hovering over the image.
