Possible to do bookmarks while retaining query strings?

I noticed if I put a bookmark (ie to my hosting provider) with a query string like ?ref=abc123 it gets stripped out leaving the base address. Is this for the nature of how it fetches the content? Can this be modified to allow query strings for affiliate linking purposes? Thanks in advance.

I noticed this also. Only way to get it to work is to:

  1. create the bookmark
  2. copy the resulting HTML
  3. replace the stripped link with the querystring’d link
  4. delete the bookmark and put a HTML block in it’s place
