Hi everyone,
I’ve noticed something interesting and wanted to open a discussion about it.
When searching on Google for terms like “Ghost themes” or “Ghost templates”, most of the results are related to Halloween costumes or spooky designs — not themes for Ghost CMS.
However, other platforms with somewhat generic names (for example, brands that include common words) seem to rank clearly for their product-related searches.
I understand that “Ghost” is a common dictionary word, which likely creates ambiguity in search intent. But I’m wondering:
-
Is this something the Ghost team is actively addressing from an SEO perspective?
-
Are there recommended keyword strategies for developers creating Ghost themes?
-
Has there been discussion about strengthening the association between “Ghost themes” and the CMS specifically?
I’m asking both from a curiosity standpoint and from a marketing perspective, since it can affect discoverability for theme creators.
Would love to hear thoughts from the community.
Thanks!
