My site: grantwinney.com

I started off with the WildBird theme and loved its simplicity. I customized it a bit (i.e. generating a table of contents, making images autolink to their full versions, fading the sidebar slightly to not steal focus, etc…)

Now I’m using Symmetric because I think it’s more engaging, with sidebars to other articles and places to include banners and such.

My personal site is https://byzantium.mist.dog

I made my own custom theme suitable for my very image-led blog. Unlike most of the sites here, “clinical and professional-looking” was not what I was aiming for. My site includes some nifty hand-made features, including a randomized bio alongside my posts, and an index by article title.

I’ve been running Ghost self-hosted since 2013, for the last couple of years on an Amazon t2.micro instance.

Wow. I have had so many blogs and journals. And ever few years… clean slate. Maybe one of these years, I will hang on to my diatribes and musings.

The blog: Errant Ruminant
I have often blogged over the years. Then I’d toss it all and start all over.

The platform: Ghost + Fedora Linux + Nginx + SQLite…
The theme: Massively (for now)

All the Ghost + Fedora instructions I found were bad or dated. And all were incomplete. So, I wrote an instructional blog article. To be frank, I think it is more comprehensive than just about all the “how to install” articles I have found for any platform thus far.

Check it out:

Broken on Chrome. A bug in the Caspar theme is generating http links rather than relative links, and chrome won’t support mixed content.

my blog is https://blog.leonhassan.dev/, uses a pretty heavily-customised version of casper so that it works offline (caches everything you open)
