I started off with the WildBird theme and loved its simplicity. I customized it a bit (i.e. generating a table of contents, making images autolink to their full versions, fading the sidebar slightly to not steal focus, etcâŚ)
Now Iâm using Symmetric because I think itâs more engaging, with sidebars to other articles and places to include banners and such.

I made my own custom theme suitable for my very image-led blog. Unlike most of the sites here, âclinical and professional-lookingâ was not what I was aiming for. My site includes some nifty hand-made features, including a randomized bio alongside my posts, and an index by article title.
Iâve been running Ghost self-hosted since 2013, for the last couple of years on an Amazon t2.micro instance.

All the Ghost + Fedora instructions I found were bad or dated. And all were incomplete. So, I wrote an instructional blog article. To be frank, I think it is more comprehensive than just about all the âhow to installâ articles I have found for any platform thus far.

Broken on Chrome. A bug in the Caspar theme is generating http links rather than relative links, and chrome wonât support mixed content.
