Is it possible that Ghost will support this feature?
Google are currently testing this and haven’t yet committed to joining the IndexNow protocol. We’re keeping watch on this though - if it is something Google rolls out then we’ll look at supporting it in Ghost.

Has the Ghost team’s position on this feature changed since last year?
It is not yet clear whether Google will ever adopt IndexNow, but in the meantime more and more platforms are adopting this protocol in order to facilitate SEO and sustainability.

Or maybe there is a way to support IndexNow manually with webhooks? 
Exactly. And it works very well. Anyway, it’s a kind of a useless feature as only Bing supports this. Nobody uses Bing.
