Best practices / suggestions for inviting people

Hi there. I’m an experienced newsletter publisher. In the past, with other newsletter platforms, I could send newsletter invites to people I’d recently met. They could accept the invitation and be added to the list with one click, or ignore it and never hear from me again.

Ghost doesn’t have that capability, so I’m wondering what others do. How do you invite people you’ve met to subscribe to the free version of your newsletter in a way that is encouraging but not overbearing?

(I don’t want to directly add them, because it’s important to have their consent to be subscribed.)

Similarly, I’m wondering if anyone has email signature text that works well for driving interest and signups.

Thanks all!

Ghost doesn’t have newsletter invites, maybe you need to do it manually. In Ghost settings → Portal, there is a tab ‘Links’, where you can get the sign-up link.

Thanks! I appreciate the pointer - I found that link thanks to you.

I’d be very interested to hear from anyone who has used this link successfully to “invite” contacts & acquaintances. I’d like to know what kind of invitation wording was successful for you.
