I am testing self-hosted Ghost.
My question is what if someone reading the article wants directly to communicate with the author, ask him a question or discuss some follow-up topic.
Is there a way to have like a personal 1on1 chat? Or what is the best way to organise it.

Also…if you send your blog posts as newsletters, people can simply reply to the emails.
You could have a “contact” page and make sure that is available on some navigation menu at all times, even when viewing single posts. I love the idea of direct communication with my readers.
One of the features of the emails I like is the thumbs up and down for feedback on the value of the content. That might be interesting to turn on for posts…something that only the author can see, but anyone can click.
