Confirmation email going to Spam

I just signed up for this forum. The email confirmation went to spam folder in gmail.

This seems very bad to me if membership functionality also generated confirm emails that go to spam folder. Massively reduces conversions of members to active members.

Is emails marked as spam a pervasive problem with Ghost? That would be a deal killer.


All our signup with gmail accounts seem to be working fine but it’s other accounts that keep going to the spam folders…is there anything that can be done?

How you configured your SMTP provider? If you didn’t configured it at all, all your “service” emails like confirmation subscription will go into spam.

The best way I see is to configure Mailgun as SMTP provider, since you’re forced to use Mailgun for membership. Then make sure your domain reputation is good.
