Issue Summary

  • Explain roughly what’s wrong
  • What did you expect to happen?

When writing a new post on ghost with an android device (pixel 7 Pro) with chrome the curser sometimes jump to the beginning.
Even when touching the last line it will do this a couple of times until I can actually continue writing on the last sentence.

I recorded this and uploaded this here:

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a post on mobile (android with chrome)
  2. Write a paragraph and start the next.
It is more or less random for me.

Am I the only one who finds typing posts on my mobile so annoying and frustrating that I stop entirely?

I would write more if ghost would allow me to capture my thoughts without being in the way.

Hi, sorry to hear that. What keyboard software did you use?

I am using Gboard.
The default on a pixel 7 Pro

Did you try to use other Keyboard or browser?

English is not my first language. I apologize for grammatical errors.

I just tried a different keyboard and the cursor still jumps around.

How about enabling the “desktop site” in your browser?

That kind of thing often happens to me when commenting on various social media. I assume it’s an Android or JavaScript problem. I didn’t think it was more common on Ghost.

I only encountered this on ghost.
To be fair though, I rarely use comments and social media on my phone.
