Enjoying a fresh ghost install. I need to integrate a custom widget into the admin panel. I’ll figure it out myself, but if any devs have guidance about where I might shoehorn in my little app, it’d be much appreciated.

I think your best bet is to develop your own front end for what you need, and that would interact with the ghost admin API. If you are modifying core ghost files, you will run into update problems down the line which will invariably induce security issues.
