Feature differences between Self-hosted vs Ghost.org hosted?

Are there any functional or feature differences between the self-hosted version vs the Ghost.org hosted version of Ghost? Will I lose any functionality if I decide to self-host?

There are no product feature differences, Ghost(Pro) runs exactly the same open source codebase that’s available to self-hosters.

Mailgun sending is included in the Ghost(Pro) pricing so that’s something to consider as an extra cost when self-hosting if you have a membership site. Aside from that you also get a specialist caching and CDN setup and huge scaling ability that would cost extra self-hosting. Plus you get on-hand support and don’t have on-going maintenance/upgrade worries, so if you consider your time worth anything that’s a big and often hidden/forgotten cost of self-hosting compared to managed hosting.
