Ghost is currently unable to send email - But it can

Hi all,

I have malign set up, STMP configured in config.production.json - I can receive email signups and magic links yet in my admin console I have the green light on About Ghost which reads -

Ghost is currently unable to send email. See Configuration - Adapt your publication to suit your needs for instructions.

I’m not sure what’s going on as I’m able to create users and receive emails from ghost, however, when I try to change the email in “customise portal” under account page settings - support email - Despite seeing the notification saying an email confirmation has been sent, no confirmation arrives.

Anyone else hit these glitches for emails within ghost?

Transactional mail uses SMTP, whereas bulk mail uses the Mailgun API. It looks like you only set up transactional email in config.production.json.
