Ghost self-install not working

Hi all,

I’m having 2 problems with my ghost self-install. I initially installed it using the 1-click droplet and it was working fine, but found that I was unable to invite authors so tried to update the config.production.json file but feel I’ve messed things up more.

The site is but is not accessible at all. I’m not sure the reasoning for this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.


Are you able to revert back? This could be a spam filtering issue, either because their email is filtering the invitation, or the server is filtering the email because it believes it’s a spam email address. You might need to configure your server to accept other email addresses

Thanks for the suggestion. I’m not sure if I can revert back. I had also changed the DNS settings from the subdomain to the main domain with my host and domain provider so that could be contributing to the issue too if the settings aren’t all correct
