Ghost setup, migrations, managed hosting and custom themes — from the team behind Vanta & Faro

[Adrian_Papasergio]

Hi all! We’re PlanetThemes, the small studio behind the Vanta and Faro themes. Besides themes, we help people get the most out of Ghost:

• Theme setup — we install and configure Vanta or Faro on your site with your logo, colors, navigation and settings (for Faro, also your sections and docs order), and load demo content if you want it. $149.
• Migration to Ghost from WordPress, Substack or Medium: posts, images, tags, authors, redirects and members. From $390 (fixed up to 500 posts).
• Managed Ghost hosting — updates, backups, SSL and monitoring, so you only write. $39/month or $390/year.
• Custom Ghost themes built on the same system as our own themes (dark/light mode, translations, everything configurable in Ghost Admin). From $2,500.
• AI-assisted newsroom — drafting, fact-checking and publishing workflows run by AI agents under human editors. We run two of our own media sites this way.

We work in English and Spanish. Our own sites run in production — for example https://www.pipol.news, a magazine with members and newsletter on Ghost + Vanta.

I am always interested to hear more about hosting options for Ghost. What’s included for $39/month? I note that that price is more expensive than Ghost Pro publisher tier (which includes unlimited newsletter sending but the price goes up 1000 members). Also more expensive than Magic Pages and Synaps Media, both of which include some email allocation (but not unlimited) and don’t limit the number of members. So… what’s your angle? I’m very much in favor of a flourishing marketplace for Ghost hosting, themes, and services, but I’m not sure from your site what you’re offering for hosting that I can’t get from the Ghost Foundation itself or from long term community members and established hosts at less than what you’re charging.

Thanks Cathy, fair point — for most people here, Ghost(Pro), Magic Pages or Synaps are the better choice, and I’d recommend them too. Our hosting is really just for clients in Latin America who need to pay in local currency and want support in Spanish, usually bundled with a setup or theme we built for them. I should make that clearer on the site. Our main focus is themes and helping out around here!
