Hey there crew.
I use ActiveCampaign for my email marketing because of all the automation that we need for our business.
I’m wondering if there was a way to unsubscribe someone from Ghost if they unsubscribe from my ActiveCampaign email list.
I checked Zapier, and it didn’t look like there was a way to that.
Thanks for the help in advance.
Alejandro
Hi there, just following up on this. Thanks.
Bump.
Is this something that just isn’t on the roadmap? (the ability to update Ghost members when they unsubscribe from my newsletter provider (ActiveCampaign)?
Hey Alejandro! Zapier /does/ have an ‘update member’ option for Ghost that should allow you to unsubscribe a member from newsletters. It doesn’t delete them as a user, but you should be able to stop them from receiving newsletters. (You could also add a label indicating that they should be deleted and occasionally delete so-tagged members.)
So you’re saying that if they unsubscribe from ActiveCampaign, they’ll unsubscribe from the Ghost Newsletter?
The way that I’m reading the Zapier integration (which I use) is when someone signs up on my Ghost website, they will be on my ActiveCampaign email list.
You need a second zap that does the unsubscribe.

right, doesn’t look like there’s a Zap for that.
I looked last night and there’s an update member - and you can use that to remove newsletter subscriptions. If you’re looking for a ‘delete member’, then no, there isn’t one, I agree.
