HTML or Markdown in Email Card?

Hello!

This is a fairly simple question, but I haven’t been able to find any answers for it. I’m sending out a weekly email newsletter to members. When I use the email card, is there a way I can add some HTML or use Markdown in the card?

I want to add a divider between the stuff in the email card and the content of the post.

NOTE: I’m using Ghost 3.30.1 in a droplet on DigitalOcean.

I ran into this myself recently with Ghost 5. If HTML or Markdown in an email-only block is possible, I agree it’s not clear how to do it.

The omission does seem odd-- clearly Ghost supports sending Markdown and HTML content to both email and the web, so why not support sending the same content only to email?

Perhaps /email-html and /email-markdown need to be added as additional features.

I found an Idea already filed for an “HTML Card” for newsletters-only:

Unless I’m mistaken, currently the Email only card is Wsiwyg only. Meaning you can type in text, add links, images, etc. However it doesn’t seem possible to have an Email only card that is also html card. So for example if I wanted to include a button at the end of an email like <button type="button">Share this email with a friend!</button> there doesn’t seem to be a way to do this without also putting that button into the post on the site.
