Importing images from Squarespace Blog

Importing posts from Squarespace was the easy part, but all the images are broken.

While tinkering on a local version of Ghost, I realised that with one 500mb folder from my Squarespace export, placed in the content/images folder, with the same folder structure/pathway as the Squarespace export, all my images were fixed!

However, despite trying multiple .js using the API, and having no luck with a 500mb Zip through the Universal Uploader (and no luck splitting it with Gctools), and unable to change the length of the names of the files without breaking the structure of the files, I have reached an impasse.

I am by no means a coder, I’m flying by the seat of my pants, but I’m unable to fix this one final thing.

Manually adding them seems so tedious when I know that one well-placed file could fix all my photo links across all my blog posts.

Anyone have any tips?

100mb works. Much bigger doesn’t. I’d open the zip file up and split it into a couple separate files that all have the same folder structure, each bit more than 100mb. Then upload again.

I had a go - going in, making multiple copies and then deleting sections of files so that each copy had sections of the data, no more than 100mb - it looks like the first file went through, but the rest aren’t registering as approved file types!

So you may need to look at the files in the folder - there may be something invalid?
